TSC to Organise ICT programmes for Teachers

The Ogun State teaching Service Commission (TSC) has concluded arrangements to train teachers on modern teaching techniques through the information Communication Technology Programme.
Speaking in an Interactive session with journalist in Abeokuta, the Commission's Chairman, Akogun Segun Okeowo, noted that teachers as molders of young minds, should be well grounded in the latest development in the teaching profession.
He said the training programme would be designed in such a way that all teachers would benefit in order to impart the knowledge gained on their students.
Akogun Okeowo explained that his commission would do everything possible to ensure that teachers put in their all, warning that any teacher who put in less than six period in a week would be declared redundant.
He stated that in the last three years, the State Government has employed about 7,000 teachers comprising 2,000 voluntary teaching corps and over 1,000 non-teaching staff as a way of improving the standard of Education.
