TASUED gets NUC accreditation

The Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED) has won the first prize, Best Individual Researcher (Development) Arts category, at the just concluded third Nigerian Universities Research and Development Fair (NURESDEF), organised by the National Universities Commission (NUC) at the University of Lagos.
According to the institution's Public Relations Officer, Fisayo Osoteku, participants were evaluated based on the abstracts, methodology, results, relevance of the work, contribution of the work to society, advancement of knowledge, and originality of the work.
Thirty federal, state and private universities, the Russian Embassy, the British Council, the Raw Materials Research and Development Council, Nigerian Deposit Insurance Corporation, Federal Ministry of Industry, and individual researchers were among those present at the fair.
In another development, according to the statement, TASUED recorded another feat when the NUC gave it 100 per cent accreditation in 36 programmes. The accreditation is split between interim and full levels while none of the courses was denied accreditation.
